1) The Maldives
The Maldives consist of twenty six coral atolls in the Indian ocean. The lagoons formed by these islands are the clearest on the planet. The white sand beaches reflect the turquoise and deep blue hues of the waters. Many of these islands are uninhabited, and those that are can only be accessed via the sea. This ensures that the islands maintain their pristine beauty. The coral that makes up the islands, also provide a perfect environment for underwater life. The fact is that a trip to the Maldives Islands will, invariably, revolve around water sports. There is little else to do on the atolls. If you want to take advantage of the clearest water on the planet, go soon.
